We believe in books, Netflix, Pandora, NPR, having a “uniform” and that coffee is essential.
We believe in dining with our kids at good restaurants even if it means fellow diners give us the stink-eye.
We believe an impromptu living room dance party can rescue a gloomy afternoon.
We believe there’s no such thing as “kid music”; just good music.
We believe in DIY…and sometimes we just believe in the idea of DIY.
We believe in taking our kids to the “grown up” part of the museum.
We believe in wonky homemade cards but often find ourselves settling for the store bought version.
We believe in Zara, H&M, indie labels, vintage and the occasional splurge on a good pair of “forever” shoes.
We believe in piecrust made from scratch and take-out Thai food.
We believe in being good parents…which sometimes is all about the right bribe.

I stumbled across your site via the f is for frank FB page (LOOOVE her work!), and really adore your favorite things. Gorgeous, gorgeous stuff!
I am forever trying to find funky, modern sites to send my photography clients to when they are styling their kiddos for a session, and will add your site to my list.
I’m a newly divorced, single mommy of 3 (8, 6 and 2), and run my photography business from my home (and in my spare time, HA!). We were voted Dallas’ Favorite family photographer by Dallas Child, and if you ever have the urge to highlight a mommy owned, mommy run, mommy geared (and energy drink fueled) biz, please let me know!
Also, it would be REALLY great to have a blog entry dedicated solely on how to dress your family for a session. I know I’d personally love to have a source for my clients to go to, and I’m sure every other child photographer would agree. Matchy-matchy is OUT, and bright, modern, funky is IN (my blog does a great job of showing how hard my cute families work at being fresh and unique with their clothing choices).
Thanks for your drool-worthy blog! I’ll definitely be back!

I found tiny Dallas via Joslyn’s blog, which has been one of my favorites since I began reading blogs. What a wonderful website and idea! And, well, what you believe in – I second each and every one! Thanks for putting such a real face on what it means to raise tiny people.
Interested in a tiny San Francisco?
So glad to find another great Dallas blog. I left Texas seven months ago for Chicago, so I need you guys to keep all of us readers in the know, so I can pretend I still live within walking distance to White Rock Lake and the best Mexican food on the planet!
Great great job on this blog! So excited for what’s to come!
