into the weekend

After hunkering down with the family and catching up with friends over the holidays, I’m thinking it’s high time for a date night. The swanky, (relatively) new CampO Modern Bistro in Oak Cliff is on my list of places to try. I’ve also been meaning to head over to BarBelmont to see David Leonard’s landscapes. The show runs through next Wednesday so it’s now or never.

Lots of good reasons to head downtown on Saturday…it’s First Saturday at the Nasher which is always a hit with the kiddos and it’s also the last weekend to catch the exhibition Tony Cragg: Seeing Things. If you’re looking for something to do outside, the Arts District Architecture Tour is a 90-minute tour of our city’s historic architecture that begins and ends at the DMA.

I’m a bit obsessed with all the beautiful felt creations that can be found on Etsy and seen put into action on Pinterest. It just so happens that our friends over at Oil and Cotton will be offering a felting class this Sunday afternoon. Oh the things I’d make with a little felting know-how under my belt…
